Rocklin Yakety Yak Wireless Superstore Offers One-Stop Shopping for Cellular Solutions
Yakety Yak Wireless, Inc., one of the fastest-growing wireless franchises in the nation, recently opened a wireless superstore in the Blue Oaks Town Center, offering a unique, multi-carrier shopping experience for businesses and consumers. The Yakety Yak store is a licensed retailer for Sprint Nextel, Verizon and Metro PCS, and also carries an extensive variety of mobile phones and wireless accessories.
"We provide 100 percent customer service, from filling out forms, reviewing service plans, and explaining phone functionality, to synchronizing all of your digital devices," said Nicole Felix, store owner. "My husband Rudy and I consult with each customer to determine the calling plan and phone that will best fit their needs. We also offer all of the hottest wireless products on the market, including MP3 players, iPod accessories, Bluetooth headsets, home and in-car chargers, and a wide selection of functional and fashionable cell phone cases, pouches, skins and snap-ons."
"My 12 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, most recently as a senior wireless data technician for Verizon Wireless, is something that really sets us apart from our competitors," said Rudy Felix, store owner. "I am also a Microsoft Certified Professional, and am happy to provide walk-in tech support, repair, and other services for our customers. I am usually assisting customers on how to use the features of their cell phones, PDAs and BlackBerries. Customer response to this personal service has been very positive."
The Rocklin Yakety Yak store will be celebrating its Grand Opening on Saturday, March 24 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and will be offering a 30 percent discount on all accessories during those hours.
Other festivities include free barbeque from Lucille's, performances by the Spring View Junior High School cheerleading squad, and the opportunity to get an autograph from Vance Mueller, former running back for the Raiders. Ambassadors from the Rocklin Chamber of Commerce will participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and members of the Rocklin Police Department will be offering fingerprint identification kits for children.
"We invite everyone in the community to come enjoy the Grand Opening, and experience the Yakety Yak difference in customer service and product selection for themselves," Rudy said.
Another unique feature of the Rocklin Yakety Yak wireless superstore is the “Yak Swap” program, a convenient, environmentally-friendly trade-in program for used cell phones. Customers bring in their old cell phones and have the “Blue Book” value of the phone assessed for an instant in-store credit or cash, making it easy to responsibly recycle and also offset the cost of new equipment.
“E-waste is a community concern, and the Yak Swap program is sensible alternative to discarding cell phones that contain lead, cadmium and mercury and cannot be safely dumped in landfills,” Rudy said. “As members of the community, we are very concerned about the amount of e-waste and the Yak Swap recycling program is an important part of the solution.”
The Yakety Yak wireless superstore is located at 6700 Lone Tree Boulevard, Suite 400 in Rocklin. Store hours are 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. The telephone number is 916-772-1414.
